Her work explores intrusive memories of both vulnerability and power, however she's most interested in the characteristics of these memories. Memories are not stored as factual photographic images, instead we take in from our environment the aspects that are of most significance to each of us, such as how something physically felt, or how it made us feel. Memories are subjective and unique but intrusive memories contain similar characteristics, they are experienced as reliving the event and can be vivid, fragmented and disorientating.

She has used both Photograms for precision and the more erratic Chemigrams. Combining these techniques with abstract and appropriated realistic imagery has allowed her to convey the contrasting nature of intrusive memories. They vary in size from 5” x 8” to 8” x 10”. This small scale relays the intimate nature of the content.
